Great luxury and value

I am very pleased with this vehicle overall (2016 MKX Reserve with 3.7L engine), the luxury features are tremendous and a great value. The leather seats are top quality. Sync3 may not be as graphically pretty as the competition, but it works really well. I feel that there are some trim elements (A-pillar snap on trim that detached, for example) that are somewhat flimsy and there is a rattle emanating from the center console (this is why I gave a quality rating of 8). The engine is adequate -- fine on the highway with sufficient passing power, however, it is slow accelerating from stop or low speed -- a V6 should be zippier. Overall, to me, this beats the competition for luxury and value; and I am happy to have the V6 than a turbo-4 for such a heavy vehicle.…

Car drives amazing. Plenty of power when on the go, with luxury and engineering to match. Amazing ride also. Car handles like much more expensive vehicles.…
70000 miles and so far so good

It’s my wife’s car and she drives a lot for business. The pick up and delivery service for maintenance was very efficient and nice and the phone app works great. It’s only had 1 thing (some sort of $400 filler valve) that didn’t affect the drivability that wasn’t covered under warranty. It also had an engine oil leak, that the dealer found, that was covered under warranty. We ordered a loaded Reserve with the 2.7 engine, AWD, the better seats, and all the technology packages. It is very smooth and powerful and my wife loves the Synch 3 which does about everything including traffic, rerouting her, stopping at places along the route, etc. She also loves the auto high beams which are very smart. I like the Apple Play and that it takes regular gas. It does the job and gets her around quietly with lots of features. It’s on the second set of tires. The factory ones go 50000 miles. If if starts going wonky (steering, chimes, etc) check the battery. It did that to us, but all it needed was a new battery. A little early to go in my book, but an easy fix.
They haven’t changed it since 2016 although they renamed it. Get the 2016 1/2 or newer. The Synch 3 is really worth it. Many of the other manufacturers have been playing catch-up. We looked at most all the other luxury SUVs - Acura, BMW, Audi, Lexus, Mercedes, Buick, Infinity, and Volvo and liked the Lincoln best, especially for the $. The Germans - Audi, BMW and Mercedes were especially overpriced and maintenance and repairs are astronomical.…
